Associate Attorney
Formerly a Paralegal at The Micklin Law Group, Joshua D. Cooper is now an associate attorney at the firm. He advocates for men and fathers in New Jersey by helping our clients navigating their divorce, custody, and other family law cases while protecting their rights.
Prior to joining our team, Joshua spent a year in a judicial clerkship with the Hudson County Superior Court. As a law clerk to a family law judge, Joshua sat in on hearings, trials, negotiations and dismissals; offered opinions on hearings and legal theories, disputes, and arguments when requested by the judge; and facilitated mediation and negotiations, on behalf of the family law vicinage of Hudson County, between parties. Joshua also spent two summers working as senior in-house counsel intern for a North America based international construction company.
History is one of Joshua’s main interests. When he’s not working on your case, you can find him watching historic-based movies and reading both fiction and non-fiction books about history. He also enjoys art, writing, sports, music, and following the latest law-based entertainment and news. Much of Joshua’s family time is spent with his six nephews and niece.
